The Criteria for Assessing Knowledge Management Outcomes in, Organizations: The Case of Alexandria Shipyard in Egypt

This paper intends to present and discuss the findings of a case study analysis of the adoption and use of a widely-accepted the criteria that are intended as a tool for measuring Knowledge Management (KM) initiatives in organizations which needed to successfully perform its business activities. This study will investigates the characteristics of shipbuilding acting on KM criteria, thus classifying dements of differentiation among Egyptians' shipbuilding able to determine the level of KM criteria activity The investigation tool was shown to be both reliable and valid. This research effort included the survey questionnaire. The statistical package employed for the survey fata analysis was SPSS for Windows Version 20.0, Descriptive analysis was used to portray main attributes of the survey's data. Then, Wilcoxon Signed Ranh test was utilized to examine a hypothesis about the median of our target population. A total of 250 from Alexandria Shipyard in Egypt (ASY) were surveyed for their perspectives on current and future knowledge management. This paper seeks to reach an approach for a successful implementation of initiative knowledge management (KM) programs procedures among Egyptian organization to be more effective than its competitors. Consequently, it can be observed as an all-inclusive approach able to assist decision makers in their Knowledge Management System quality process.
